Pixel Art Gen Tools is a publishing site. There are no accounts, no logins and no checkout. We do not want your personal data and we collect as little of it as we can while still being able to see which pages are worth keeping.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or fill in forms, so we do not collect names, addresses or payment details through this site. The information that does reach us falls into two groups:
- Aggregate usage data. Standard measurements such as which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, the type of device and browser used, and which site referred you. This is used in aggregate to decide what to write next and what to fix.
- Anything you send us. If you email us, we hold that message and your email address for as long as needed to answer it and keep a record of the exchange.
Cookies and analytics
This site may use a privacy-conscious web analytics service to produce the aggregate statistics described above. Analytics providers typically set cookies or read similar browser storage in order to tell a returning visit from a new one.
We also store one small item in your browser to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice, so you are not shown it on every page. That value stays on your device and is not sent to us as personal data.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “do not track” or equivalent privacy setting. Blocking cookies will not stop the site from working; you may simply see the cookie notice again.
Affiliate links and third parties
Some outbound links to tools and services are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination site or its affiliate network may set a cookie so that any resulting sign-up or purchase can be attributed to us. That process happens on their systems and under their privacy policies, not ours.
Once you leave this site, whatever you do on the destination site is governed by that company’s terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details, your account details or any personally identifying information about purchases — only aggregate commission reporting.
How the information is used
- To understand which articles are read and which are not.
- To find and fix broken pages, slow pages and layout problems.
- To answer messages you send us.
We do not sell data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share information with third parties except where it is necessary to run the services described above or where the law requires it.
Retention
Aggregate analytics data is retained only as long as it is useful for editorial decisions. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it remains relevant to an ongoing conversation or record, and is deleted on request where we are free to do so.
Your choices
- Block, clear or restrict cookies through your browser settings.
- Use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts.
- Ask us what correspondence we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address below.
Children
This site is written for people making games and other software and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes — a different analytics provider, a new affiliate network — this page is updated to describe the new arrangement. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
